Red Carpet Round-Up: The Good

My favourite part of blogging: Writing about beautiful clothes!

THE GOOD -- In no particular order!

Emma Stone looks absolutely fantastic in Balenciaga at the Critics' Choice Awards. I was so impressed with her outfit- she looks so grown-up! She was certainly an obvious choice to appear in my 'good' section!

Here's Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globes. She looks amazing in the Atelier Versace gown. Angie is so pretty and usually looks good on the red carpet (I love black, so naturally I would love her choices). But rarely does she looks gorgeous, which is just what she looks here. Inspiring.

Another somewhat surprise at the Golden Globes was Olivia Wilde from House looking fantastic in Marchesa. I adore her hair, and it is such a great look on her. Of course, Olivia would look good in a bin bag. So jealous.

Another young brunette looking great this year was Mila Kunis. Here she is in Alexander McQueen at the Screen Actors' Guild Awards. I have the original AMQ dress beside it to show what a difference adding that belt made to the look. It is astonishing. Mila said that that dress was the most comfortable she has ever worn, and I thank her and/or her stylist for adding that wonderful belt!

Here is Reese Witherspoon in Armani Privé at the Oscars. Reese is another lady that always looks amazing, but she surprised me with her hairstyling choice. I love her dress too, but this is a perfect example that it is about the whole look together, not just the dress.

Here is the lovely Michelle Williams at the Oscars. She is wearing a gorgeous Chanel couture dress that almost looks like it was made for her. Michelle has always been one of the people that I look forward to seeing on the red carpet, but to be honest I wasn't too fond of any of her looks up to that point. But she really redeemed herself at the Oscars. Her entire look is perfect, the make-up suits the dress down to the ground. Well done, Ms. Williams!

When Cate Blanchett arrives at the Oscars in Givency, everything stops. Probably the most consistent actress in red carpet fashion looked ah-mazing at the Oscars this year. There are no words. In the designer that made Audrey Hepburn the most fashionable woman ever, Cate Blanchett is reaching the heights of Ms. Hepburn. Yeah, seriously.

Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars in Calvin Klein. That body. That make-up. That dress. That hair. THAT BODY!! This girl, seriously, can do no wrong. Oh, and did I mention that Jennifer's body is amazing?!

Quickly becoming my biggest girl crush of the moment is none other than Hailee Steinfeld, who wowed in Marchesa at the Oscars. I loved all of her choices throughout the awards season, but this is my favourite. She is so adorable, yet beautiful far beyond her years. This look is age-appropriate, and it is almost strange that she doesn't look out of place at the Oscars in a haute couture gown. It's quite embarrassing really, that she is a whole 2 years younger than me. I want her closet!

So, there we have it! My favourite looks of the awards season. Of course, there were many more, but these were the ones that I could choose as being absolutely perfect. Coming up next: The bad and the ugly of awards season.
